Recon Technology

Recon Cascade Technology™

Recon's Cascade Technology was developed to significantly reduce your interpretation cycle time. Any changes to your interpretation are automatically propagated throughout the entire 3-D interpretation environment.
Example: if you are displaying a porosity zone average in the basemap, and you change a pick for the top or base of the zone, Recon will automatically perform the following steps:
  1. Regrid the top of zone structural surface using the changed pick
  2. Calculate the thickness for the changed zone
  3. Regenerate the porosity zone average values at all wells using the updated isochore
  4. Distribute the porosity values across the reservoir
  5. Apply the porosity cutoff filter
  6. Show the updated display in 3-D, basemap, and cross-section views
Interactive 3-D interpretation: move a pick in 3-D
and the porosity distribution updates in real time.

Interpretations made in any of Recon's three views are
automatically broadcast to the other views.

Recon Plug-In Architecture

Recon's plug-in architecture enables you to take advantage of the latest developments in software or hardware technology. This flexible plug-in technology has enabled AGM to rapidly develop modules for Recon that leverage the latest advances in science and technology.

Recon Single Step Workflows

Workflow process optimization is one of the core principles underlying the Recon design. After years of analyzing traditional first and second generation interpretation solutions in real world consulting setting, AGM designers made sure to avoid repeating mistakes while designing the next-generation interpretation standard. Recon's daily workflows are characterized by single step workflows.

The deeper horizons are mapped from the picks. In this example, we have defined the recursive conformability to the top horizon for all surfaces.
With one button-click, Recon automatically regrids all horizons honoring the conformable relationships between the surfaces and the adjusted seismic horizon.
