RECON is providing new and improved ways to efficiently and reliably integrate to the most common E&P applications and databases.

AGM realizes that exchanging data between applications can be challenging and time consuming. We place great importance on providing seamless integration with the widest range of applications and databases commonly used by our customers. We have taken a multi-pronged approach to this challenging and ever-evolving task to provide flexible integration options with third-party vendors.

The primary ways we interact with Paradigm's EPOS® and Gocad® suites, and GeoFrame®, SMT's Kingdom Suite®and IHS's Petra® are through ASCII imports/exports.

 

AGM is part of the Landmark DecisionSpace® Developers' Network and leverages this to provide direct connections to both the OW2003 and R5000 databases from within Recon. Using Landmark's development environment ensures that Recon reads and writes your data in the most consistent and reliable format ensuring complete compatible with all of Landmark's suite of applications. Recon provides access to a wide variety of well specific data types such as wells, deviations, logs, picks, point sets, grids, faults, lithologies, cores, well tests, production and culture data directly to and from OpenWorks.

Recon reads SeisWorks seismic volumes, fault segments and horizons directly without the need to duplicate the data in a Recon project. Recon provides the option to write data dynamically back into OpenWorks as it is interpreted with a "live" connection to OpenWorks or at the user’s discretion. The link also allows loading by data type and the "load now" and "load as needed" option. The "load now" option loads all data when you build the project the first time while the "load as needed" option loads only the information required and then loads data as it is accessed by the user. The latter option is very useful for managing large datasets.

 

AGM is pleased to announce the first release of a direct Petrel Plug-In. The Recon Petrel Plug-in supports data transfer both ways without the need for an intermediate database enabling the most efficient data exchange possible. The plug-in resides in Petrel and provides interpreters with the ability to quickly get data into Recon for the most accurate interpretation in the less amount of time. Users can quickly transfer all of the data from a Petrel project into a Recon project or select specific data to be transferred. Data types supported by this plug-in include wells, deviations, logs, picks, grids, faults and point sets.

ReConnect provides new and improved ways to read and write data  into Landmark's OpenWorks. Direct OpenWorks 2003 and R5000 links are still available for those users that want to remain connected to OpenWorks and SeisWorks throughout their interpretation session.  ReConnect provides the ability for users to populate a Recon project from OpenWorks, detach and interpret their data and at a later time, reconnect to OpenWorks to commit their interpretations back into the database.

ReConnect was designed with the ability to mine for specific data to load and then update. For example, users will be able to search for and load specific log curves for a select set of wells ensuring only the relevant data is loaded and accessible. This allows users to eliminate the unwanted or unnecessary data to help optimize project performance especially for very large project datasets. Additionally, ReConnect will enable users to easily combine data from multiple OpenWorks projects into a single Recon project.
