Training

Recon Training Courses
Recon training courses include introductory and advanced courses.
Recon Introductory Course
Description

This two-day course is designed for new users of Recon. The course focuses on basic 3-D geological interpretation skills.

Audience Geoscientists, Engineers
Prerequisites None
Format Lectures combined with hands-on exercises
Objectives

After this course, you wil be able to:

  • Create Recon projects
  • Generate well log templates for display in 3-D and 2-D
  • Correlate well logs in 2-D and 3-D
  • Define and display cross-sections in 2-D and 3-D
  • Generate 3-D structure grids
  • Create stratigraphically datumed 2-D and 3-D displays
  • Display structure, isochore, and zone average maps in the basemap
  • Create conformably mapped stratigraphic frameworks
  • Adjust seismic horizons to wells
  • Interpret faults in 3-D and 2-D interpretation views
  • Interactive filtering of 3-D zone average distributions
  • Create and manage well interval data (e.g. production data)
  • Create cross-sections with lithology fills and annotations for hardcopy
  • Use Recon's Cascade Technology for real time interpretation updates
